Yesterday (Sunday 04th December) was the 2011 Christmas lunch for the guild. I'm not quite sure how many people were there, but it was a very good turnout and everyone had a wonderful time! The food was nice and the company was even better. We had a room set up especially for us and they even signposted so we knew where we were going which was nice.
There was the final raffle for the year which had 2 prizes; sorry no photo's of that so you'll have to use your imagination. There was a yarn prize which was a lovely turquoise boucle yarn and a fibre prize which was a bump of Merino and some Alpaca in a basket. Both winners were at the lunch and very happy with their winnings.
We also had 2 tables with displays of work. One had the items people made for the theme this year which was "Containers", there were some lovely pieces there including 2 neck containers (scarves), kudos for those ladies for thinking outside the square
The other table was the challenge bag, the bag included Merino, silk, Romney, Corriedale, glitz and cotton and everyone did something different.
