30 November 2013

Well, what a busy day today!    We had a really good turnout, loads of spinning wheels and a few knitters as well

Isn't this beautiful?   Raewyn knit a baby shawl for a new baby who is on the way.  It's made me want to make one too!

Jenny made both these pairs of slippers; the first pair she made I didn't photograph, but they came out a little big; these ones are perfect.

Rachelle (me) knit this sock, the second is on the needles and almost up to the heel.

Sandra knit this sock, like mine the second is on the needles.

Jenny spun this yarn as well, it's more of a burnt orange in real life.

Pat was the creator of this sweet wee singlet; her third for the singlet challenge.

And this beautiful shawl is Dianne's.   There's a full shot of it coming up.

Rosemary made this lovely wee baby cardigan, I think the trim sets it off perfectly!

Dianne's latest spinning, lovely as always.

Natalie made this sweet little striped baby jersey; it's nice and practical as well as cute.

And then for a change of pace Natalie made these glorious socks; a perfect example of the yarn working with the pattern.

Joanne knit a reversible hat for her brother to wear on tramps; he can have the bright orange in hunting season.

This scarf is also one of Joanne's and for her other brother; a suitably masculine graphic motif.

As promised, a photo of Dianne's shawl for the full effect.

This table runner arrived during the meeting and was donated to the guild for our new rooms by Anne Bluck.   I took a few photo's to show it off.   Thank you very much Anne; it's lovely and we really appreciate it.

The back is just as nice as the front too.

Next week we're at St Marks in Opawa Rd and don't forget the following Saturday is at St Marks in Withells Rd for our Christmas lunch.    Bring along a plate of food, as well as a mug, plate and cutlery.
