Today was very busy, there was a tapestry weaving class which seemed to be going well, we had the Creative Fibre president in to visit as well as the previous holder of that office and a lot of our members as well. We also had some visitors which was lovely!
For the display table there was only a small selection but everything there was beautifully made.
Rachelle's placemats using 8/2 cotton in a twill weave |
Rachelle's Drop Leaf Shawlette using handspun merino from Heavenly Wools |
Pam's gorgeous polwarth/silk yarn, the colours just glow. |
Jenny has been busy makig this shoulder wrap; it's a little too short for a scarf but would wrap around the shoulders just beautifully for a night out. |
Another of Jenny's scarves in a luscious red this time. |
All the teatowels made for the guild by our members. |
Pat Old brought these Kete that she had woven to show us; lovely pieces |
Fran's Haruni shawl using a lovely handspun yarn. |
a detail shot where you can see the touch of green in the yarn that just makes it perfect. |
