Saturday July 11 2015

It was nice to finally have a sunny day, even if it was super cold!  There were plenty of us at guild though, I brought my son along as well and he spent the day weaving on his Knitter's Loom.

Kerry has been busy making fruit for the Mad Hatter's Tea Party in Ashburton

Kerry's also been dyeing yarn, this is one of them

and this very subtle grey/green/blue is another

Valerie has been using her blending board to make some lovely yarn

and Ria made this shawl using handspun yarn that was planned and had sampling done before the main spin

detail of Ria's shawl

Dawn has been busy making this corriedale scarf
Dawn also got busy on her 8-shaft table loom, she much prefers her floor loom though.   This is beautiful even if she didn't like the loom very much

Heather was using dye exhausts to colour these cotton yarns

Raewyn just finished this lovely baby blanket, it has amazing bounce!

Sandra decided to make a quick sock, it's so cute!

Sue has been busy making herself a warm woollen skirt, definitely a good thing with the cold weather we've been having

Joanne knit this sweet little capelet for her daughter from some merino/linen handspun

She also spun this saffron yarn from halfbred

and this bundle of merino skeins; she's been very busy!

Eleanor made this chain plyed merino into a gorgeous scarf.  The dyeing was done by Tracey White
Have a great weekend everyone, see you next Saturday
