Saturday 4th June 2016

I can't believe it's June already!  We've got some good events coming up this month.  Saturday 18th is Woolfeast out at Te Hapua (the new community centre on Halswell Rd); hopefully we'll have a good turnout there.  I will be there and will post photo's on here all going well.  The following Saturday is our midwinter lunch, so bring a plate and your own cutlery and crockery; probably won't be room for wheels that day going by past events.
I won't be there next Saturday due to a family birthday party, so probably no photos to show next week.

This is Jenny's handspun, from memory this was some of Anna's merino/silk and is a lovely pinky coffee shade in real life

Heather has been weaving fabric, isn't it wonderful?  It's wool too, so will make a nice warm skirt.
This is the other side of Heather's yardage, just to make things confusing this is a different Heather from the one who did the tea towels further down.

Kerry has been knitting her handspun into this scarf, the pattern is called Boxlace.

Rosemary finished this gorgeous wee alpaca jersey for a relative overseas; that's one very lucky wee person.

Janet L has been knitting a teacosy, a good time of year to give your teapot a warm woollie.

More hats for chemo patients

Natalie's neighbour is a potter and made her this yarn bowl, I think I need one too.

Rosalie has been weaving, this isn't quite finished yet, still go the ends to deal with, but it is looking good.

Heather has been making tea towels, almost too good to use for the purpose I think.
